This was disclosed by the 14 local government sole administrators, area development council administrators, Special Advisers’ Forum and a delegation from Bungudu Local Government Area of the state.

According to them, the 2023 general election is fast approaching and they have started scheming their spoilers game, saying that no faction is recognized by the national headquarters of the party apart from the APC in the state being led by Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle.

The group jointly made the declaration during a solidarity visit on the newly inaugurated leadership of the party in the state being led Hon Tukur Umar Danfulani at the state party Secretariat in Gusau, the state capital.

The party chieftains from the grassroots of the state urged the leadership to disregard all those claiming to have factions in the state chapter of the party, pointing out that a faction will only exist if it has bases either at the state or national levels of the party.

The stakeholders explained that since the national secretariat of the party asked members to revalidate their membership, anyone who failed to respect and abide by that instruction should not claim any right in the party because the membership of such persons will be hanging.

They also observed that as members and leaders of the party in the state who enjoyed the support and respect of their subordinates in the past, they are trying to fractionalize the party at the moment, stressing that they should check out and respect those presently in position of authority as provided by the party constitution.

They reiterated their commitment to the party and recognized the position of the Governor as the party leader in the state with Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani as the chairman and his executive members as the leaders of the party in the state.

The 14 local government sole administrators were led by Hon. Salisu Dangulbi, the area development administrators were led by Hon. Kabiru A. Umar Jangebe while the Special Advisers’ Forum was led by Hon. Ibrahim Ma’aji and the Bungudu Local Government delegates came through their sole administrator, Hon. Muhammadu Maiturare Sadiq.

Similarly, nine other groups and associations were also at the party’s state headquarters to express their support and solidarity to the new party leaders.

Responding, the state Chairman of the party, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani expressed satisfaction over the visit and assured to continue to be fair to all members of the party and the general public.

The chairman restated the commitment of the state executive members in remaining solidly behind the leader of the party in the state, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle with support and prayers so that he can deliver his best to the state and its good citizens.

The chairman urged them to continue to pray for the success of the Matawalle-led administration and the APC leadership at both the state and national levels.
