Osun APC Appeals To Workers Over Non-payment Of Six Months Salary, Blames It On PDP’s Misrule

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has urged the Nigerian Labour Congress and civil servants in the state to exercise patience over the current economic crisis in the state occasioned by non-payment of salary.

It will be recalled that several workers are owed salaries of up to six months in the state where more than 50 percent of workers are employed by the government.

According to the party, the incoming APC Federal Government has given assurances that it would look into the federal allocation to the states to reduce months of unpaid salaries, as soon as the new government is sworn in on May 29.

“However, whatever is within the capacity of the state government to do before then, it will certainly do to ease workers’ plight as a result of non payment of salaries,” the party said.

“The long and difficult battle to defeat the forces of evil that have squandered the nation’s wealth has just been won comprehensively.

“This has now paved the way for a new, progressive and responsible APC government to take over the affairs of the country and end the suffering which PDP corruption, mismanagement and treasury looting have brought on Nigerians including workers in Osun State,” a statement by the Directorate of Publicity of the APC in Osogbo and signed by Barr. Kunle Oyatomi said.
