In the just concluded collation of results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials for the Osun State Governorship Election that was held on Saturday, 22nd September 2018; the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Ademola Adeleke is on the lead with margin votes of about 300.
The collation process which was conducted at the INEC Secretariat in Osogbo, the Osun State capital; was highly competitive between the two top parties in the country, APC and PDP.
Forty Eight political parties participated in in the election but only four parties actually pull some weights. The 4 top parties as reported in the live updates for INEC Collation of Results for Osun State Governorship Election.
By the compilation, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led the election, followed by All Progressive Congress (APC), Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Action Democratic Party (ADP). By local government areas; APC won in 15, PDP in 12, SDP won 2 while ADP took only 1.
