The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State has secured victories in 10 local government areas, as declared by the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC).
The councils announced include Bassa, Jos South, Riyom, Kanam, Barkin Ladi, Mikang, Jos East, Langtang South, Quaan Pan, and Shendam.
This declaration was made by the Chairman of PLASIEC, Plangji Cishak, in Jos, the state capital, on Thursday.
Cishak noted that results from the remaining seven local government areas—Bokkos, Jos North, Pankshin, Kanke, Mangu, Langtang North, and Wase—are still being collated.
