Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has asked for peaceful coexistence among Christian, Muslims and people of other religions in Nigeria.
Ganduje shard this in Kano yesterday during the annual Maulud celebration to celebrate the birthday and flaunt the greatness of the leader of Tijjaniyya sect, Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass of Senegal.
He requested peaceful coexistence, understanding and tolerance among the several ethnic groups and religious citizens in Nigeria.
He begged Muslims to continue in the spirit of love, tolerance plus patience and expects them to do only what Prophet Muhammad taught them in the Holy Book.
He revealed that Nyass was a truthful leader and a vigorous religions cleric whose remarkable achievements and legacies will continue to be seen as important, decades after his demise.
He said the Tijjaniyya sect have played a key role to maintain peace and stability in the state and Nigeria as a whole, begging them to use the occasion to ask God for peace, unity, stability and progress in Nigeria.
