The Police Public Relations officer (PPRO) of the state police command, ASP Chris Anyanwu, disclosed this in Abakaliki.
“The police is prepared to get to the root of the problem that led to the killing of the boy,” Anyanwu said, confirming that investigation was ongoing.
According to him, the suspect confessed to the killing of his 16-year-old son who returned from Lagos to celebrate Christmas with his family members.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) cited anonymous sources in its report that Igbo killed his son due to a squabble between him (Igbo) and the deceased’s mother.
