A strong political ally of former President Muhammadu Buhari and Chairman of Arewa Media Group, Alhaji AbdulMajid Danbilki Kwamanda, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu against allowing anyone to hide under state laws to violate court orders halting the reinstatement of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.
Speaking to the media in Kano on Monday, Kwamanda criticized the Kano State Government for defying a Federal High Court order preventing the reinstatement of Sanusi.
He argued that such actions set a dangerous precedent that could undermine the rule of law.

“We cannot understand why the people who celebrated and effectively used the courts to maintain their government now stand firmly against a substantive court order preventing them from carrying out illegality,” Kwamanda said.
He emphasized that, politics aside, the insistence on Sanusi continuing as Emir of Kano despite the court injunction violates the rule of law and threatens the nation’s constitutional integrity and general well-being.
Kwamanda called on President Tinubu to urgently intervene to restore peace and stability in the state.
“Although I’m a politician, honestly, this time around, politics aside, there is great danger in what the Kano State Government is doing. The court injunction must be respected to allow peace to reign,” he stated.
He pointed out the controversy surrounding Sanusi, recalling his removal by former President Goodluck Jonathan and questioning the rationale behind his reinstatement.
“Are you returning him to continue anarchy in Kano or what?” he asked.
Kwamanda urged President Tinubu to act as a respecter of law and order, a reputation he is known for, and to ensure that everyone abides by the court’s decision.
“You should not allow this bad precedent to be set during your tenure. You should ensure that everyone respects the law by stopping the reinstatement,” he concluded.
