The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has come out to mourn the sad passing of Pope Francis. CAN chairman, Rev. John Hayab, recently had his say via a press statement, and Nigerians have been reacting.
According to him, the Pope’s demise is a moment of great grief for Catholics and Christians across the globe, and his reign definitely delivered applaudable progress and spiritual awakening among everyone who saw him as a leader.

He added that the deceased possessed a unique blend of humility, wisdom and empathy, and he’ll always be remembered for standing up for the poor.
