President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called for peace and unity among Nigerians, emphasizing that despite political differences, the nation remains one united entity.
The President made this statement on Tuesday while commissioning the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Technology Innovation Complex (BATTIC) at the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) headquarters in Abuja.
“We are all occupants of one building, living in different rooms,” Tinubu said, underscoring the importance of collective harmony.

Tinubu was welcomed to the event by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Comptroller-General of Immigration, Kemi Nandap.
The state-of-the-art BATTIC facility includes several components, such as the Command and Control Centre for regular migration, the NIS Data Centre, the ECOWAS Biometric Card Production Centre, an Interior Data Centre, and a 0.5KW solar power plant.
Speaking about the complex, Comptroller-General Nandap explained that BATTIC is a game-changer in border security.
It will assess the risk levels of individuals entering the country, detect irregular migration patterns, and monitor unmanned borders in remote areas nationwide.
“BATTIC sets a benchmark for leveraging technology to secure our borders and enhance national security,” Nandap added.
The facility reflects the government’s commitment to advancing technological innovation and strengthening Nigeria’s immigration and border control systems.
