The Presidency has dismissed concerns over President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s health, insisting that the President is hale and hearty and has no underlying medical condition.
This followed an incident in which President Tinubu briefly stumbled and fell during a ceremonial parade organised for his reception in Türkiye on Tuesday as part of a state visit.
Reacting to the development, the Presidency explained that the incident was caused by a poorly laid blue carpet at the venue of the ceremony.
According to the Presidency, President Tinubu immediately resumed his official engagements after the brief stumble.
“President Tinubu has since resumed his official assignment.
“He is currently in a bilateral meeting with Turkish authorities, after which both sides will address a press conference,” the Presidency said.
The Presidency assured Nigerians that the President remains in good health and continues to discharge his duties without any hindrance.
