President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has extended his congratulations to Nigerians for entering the New Year, urging them to maintain their faith in Nigeria, as he believes the country will experience positive changes in 2024.
In a New Year message conveyed through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio expressed confidence that Nigeria, under the current administration, is on track to reclaim its esteemed position in the international community.
Akpabio stated, “I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate our fellow citizens on successfully entering 2024.

I want to reassure you that things will improve in 2024. Maintain your belief in us, and we will undoubtedly fulfill our promises.”
Acknowledging the sacrifices made by Nigerians, Akpabio urged them not to lose hope in Nigeria but to remain optimistic and prayerful.
He promised that the current government’s efforts would soon yield tangible benefits for the citizens.
Assuring swift legislative action, Akpabio pledged that, under his leadership, the National Assembly would promptly pass the 2024 budget, fulfilling a key commitment.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the National Assembly would oversee the effective implementation of the budget by the executive branch.
“The deliberate passage of the 2024 Appropriation Bill before year-end was a deliberate move and a promise fulfilled, enabling presidential assent and immediate implementation in the New Year.
This will allow Nigerians to begin experiencing the impact of the President Tinubu-led government,” Akpabio affirmed.
