A10-NetworksSAN JOSE, CA–(Marketwired – Aug 25, 2015) – A10 Networks (NYSE: ATEN), a technology leader in application networking, announced today that Fujitsu Asia, a leading ICT-based business solutions provider, is using the A10 Thunder ADC solution to standardize its cloud-based load-balancing service, lower space and hardware costs, and advance network operator capabilities. The A10 Thunder ADC Application Delivery Controller not only offered Fujitsu Asia scalability for its growing IT infrastructure and cloud-networking services, but also supported the company in consolidating its networking resource, reducing appliance sprawl and cost-effectively streamlining management. Plus, the extensibility of the A10 Harmony architecture ensures consistent policies and maximum flexibility.

“When we considered resources for developing an environment in which we could deliver one-stop service to customers, we realized that providing standardized load-balancing services and automation with RESTful API control was key,” said Keisuke Katsuda, Network Services Business Unit, Integration Services Business, Fujitsu Limited. “A10 Networks delivered the ability to host hundreds of virtual load-balancing instances on a single appliance while lowering space and hardware costs. We are very pleased with the service provided and benefits gained.”

The A10 Thunder ADC enables customer applications to be highly available, accelerated and secure. This solution not only provides a broad range of form factors and expansive system support resources, but it also ensures that high-performance functions are available from implementation without the need for additional licenses. This is made possible by A10’s “All Inclusive Licensing” pricing model, which eliminates the need to purchase additional licenses as customer applications expand, and provides more flexibility and the ability to meet their solution requirements now and in the future.

“We’re honored that Fujitsu Asia chose to standardize on our Thunder ADC solution for its cloud load-balancing service,” said Sanjay Kapoor, vice president global marketing at A10 Networks. “At A10, we strive to provide our customers with the tools needed to create an amazing application experience that is not only agile, reliable and secure, but also customized to meet the specific demands of each specific enterprise. We’re pleased that the implementation of the A10 Thunder ADC offers Fujitsu Asia the rich features it required in addition to enhanced flexibility and scalability.”

Features of the A10 Thunder ADC include:

    • Advanced Core Operation System (ACOS)
    • SSL Offload functionality
    • aFleX Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) Scripting Technology
    • Delivery capability of up to 153 Gbps in a single appliance
    • aXAPI: full programmatic control with RESTful API

    A10 Thunder ADC benefits include:

    • Seamless scalability
    • High-speed processing capabilities
    • Programmatic control over application traffic

Since the flexibility of the A10 Thunder ADC solution allows companies to add additional features without purchasing licenses, Fujitsu Asia could deploy the A10 Thunder ADC solution at other data centers as new features such as Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) are adopted. The GSLB feature is often what prompts customers considering a global expansion to choose Fujitsu Asia’s cloud-based networking services. It can be immediately implemented when needed since A10 Thunder ADCs support it as a standard feature.
