Reveler Tim Bowman Named 35 Under 35 in Consulting

KIRKLAND, WA–(Marketwired – Mar 13, 2014) – Tim Bowman was named one of Consulting Magazine’s 35 Rising Stars of the Consulting Profession Under the age of 35. He was one of four listed in the category of Strategy Consulting. The list was published in the March 2014 issue of Consulting Magazine — a Bloomberg BNA Business.

“Tim’s impact on what Revel is today is much greater than what most would probably know,” said Vikas Kamran, Revel’s CEO.

Bowman joined Revel in 2009 and has served many roles at Revel. He led Revel’s Product Management & Marketing Team, advised the direction of the Revel Foundry and most recently founded Revel’s Strategy & Insights team — an untraditional interdisciplinary team which leads new approaches to problem-solving and problem-seeking.

“I see the award as a validation that the work my team and I do matters,” said Bowman. “And, that my approach to problem-solving/problem-seeking works.”

In addition to Bowman’s internal roles, he also utilizes his strengths in mathematical modeling, process engineering & optimization, and business intelligence & data visualization to architect solutions with a broad range of clients. He’s worked with clients such as Adobe, T-Mobile, Microsoft, Expedia, eBay and PayPal. And, he’s known for delivering a large impact.

Bowman’s team was brought in to help clean out a client’s books for an anticipated merger. But, what he delivered was much larger. He recognized a way to improve the client’s processes by implementing a data driven approach. By uniting several interdisciplinary teams he enabled the client to be able to anticipate and fix issues before they arose. This helped save the client over $60 million and strengthen their strategic partnerships.

“We all heavily rely on him as a resource and a mentor,” said Kamran. “The impact of which often goes unnoticed and many of us take for granted.”

“Professionally, I’m most proud of little, mostly invisible achievements,” said Bowman. “Whether it’s seeing my clients achieve their goals and get a promotion, mentoring fellow Revelers and colleagues and seeing them grow/flourish, or seeing the invaluable impact of local nonprofits I’ve had the opportunity to partner with through Revel’s Sustainable Giving program.”

Bowman also utilizes his skills on pro bono projects for local foster kids by working with local organizations such as Treehouse and the Foster Kids 5k. He helps them streamline their operations and extend their marketing reach to have the highest possible impact on local foster kids.
