A violent revenge attack in Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State has left a Fulani settlement in devastation, with 24 homes and 16 granaries set ablaze.
Such incident, which occurred on March 9, 2025, at about 9:45 PM, has displaced several residents and raised security concerns in the region.
According to intelligence sources, armed youths from Zangon Maje stormed the village of Gidan Na Ruwa, chanting war slogans and setting properties on fire.

The attack was reportedly in retaliation for a previous incident in which two young men from Zangon Maje, identified as Musa Hussaini (20) and Shanu Sule (26), were beaten and had their motorcycle stolen.
In response, security operatives swiftly intervened to contain the violence, deploying reinforcements by the following morning to restore order and prevent further escalation.
Authorities have since arrested five suspects, who are currently providing crucial information that may lead to more apprehensions.
Meanwhile, security patrols have been intensified, and peace talks involving traditional and community leaders are underway to prevent further unrest.
The situation remains under close monitoring as investigations continue.
