The Peoples Democratic Party candidate in the April 11 governorship poll in Adamawa, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, has extolled the virtues of the Governor of Katsina State, Barr. Ibrahim Shema, on his conferment with The Sun Outstanding Performance Exit Award.
Ribadu extolled the governor’s virtues in a goodwill message at the award ceremony, which took place at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
While thanking The Sun Publishing Limited for the awards, Ribadu hailed Shema as a good man while describing the award as well-deserved.
The Adamawa PDP flag bearer, who described Shema as a friend and brother, recalled their days as course mates in the university.
“He is not just a friend but a brother and a classmate. We started in Ahmadu Bello University the same day in 1980 and we have remained friends up till now. I am standing here on behalf of the class of 83 of the Ahmadu Bello University and class of 84 of the Nigerian Law School. I am here on behalf of all of us to share this moment of joy with our friend.
“We know Ibrahim as a very intelligent person and the best in our class and as someone who was very very meticulous and detailed in whatever he was doing.
“Within the last eight years, he has changed the face of government in Katsina and we are very proud of you, not just by what you have done but the legacy that you have left behind also.
“He is the only governor that is going to leave the office with no debt behind. He has paid all, including salaries of the workers of his state”, Ribadu said.
