The Revolution Now Protest presently happening in some states in Nigeria recently met a brick rock in Rivers state and failed to hold.
Remember that Governor Nyesom Wike said the protest would not hold in the state and security operatives were already informed to see to it that his orders are carried out.
Early in the morning in Port Harcourt, close to 10 vehicles with security agencies made up of Police, Department of Security Service, DSS, and the Civil Defence were present at the take-off points for the protests.
When it was 11 am, all protesters were gone as the entrance gates to the Isaac Park were securely locked.
In a statement, Wike said, “Rivers State does not subscribe to what the Revolution Now protest represents and Rivers State is not part of the protest.
“All council chairmen are directed to be at alert. If they suspect any illegal gathering, they should report to the security agencies for immediate action.”
