Five people were killed and one woman injured in the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv following a Russian drone attack, confirmed Governor Vitalii Kim on Monday via Telegram.
Kim reported that fires in two buildings were extinguished, while several residential structures sustained damage.
Ukrainian defenses managed to shoot down five Russian drones in the Mykolaiv area.
In a separate incident, Russian bombing raids in the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhya left one person dead and injured 21 others, according to the region’s military governor, Ivan Fedorov. At least three glide bombs reportedly struck the city.
Ukraine has been under a full-scale Russian invasion since February 2022.
