Three people have been reported killed in a fresh attack on Maiduguri as an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded at the popular Gamboru Market in the Borno State capital.
Gamboru market has been attacked by members of the Boko Haram sect in the past raising suspicion the attack was perpetrated by the group.
The attack is coming barely 24 hours after a suicide bomber detonated a bomb in a mosque around Maiduguri Monday Market, Ali Kotoko road, killing 26 worshippers and injuring 28 others.
President Muhammadu Buhari is poised to end the reign of terror of the sect. He has made ending insecurity one of the focus of his administration. The blasts is expected to provoke drastic action against the terrorist groups which have been wreaking havoc since 2009.
