The Senior Pastor of The Second Coming of Christ’s Ministry, Adewale Giwa, has called on Nigerians to prioritize seeking God in 2025 while staying vigilant against false prophets.
Speaking during the crossover service at his church in Akure, Pastor Giwa encouraged his congregation to remain steadfast in their faith and avoid preachers who discourage devotion to God.
“God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Nigerians should seek God; He wants us to be closer to Him now more than ever,” Giwa said.

The cleric referenced the biblical story of Hannah, who entrusted her son Samuel to God, noting how Samuel grew under divine guidance.
“If it requires you to sleep in the house of God every day, please do so. Samuel was just three years old when his mother, Hannah, took him to the temple. The Bible says the Lord was with Samuel as he grew up in the temple,” he said.
Pastor Giwa further encouraged believers, saying, “I hear the Lord say He will reward those who truly serve Him. Whether we like it or not, we are returning to Him to account for our stewardship.”
He warned against teachings that downplay the importance of serving God, describing such ideologies as misleading.
“This is a teaching from the pit of hell. Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves,” he cautioned.
Pastor Giwa emphasized the need for unwavering commitment to God, urging Nigerians to focus on their spiritual growth and relationship with the Creator in the coming year.
