The Senate has approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s request to amend the 2016 budget.
President Buhari had requested permission from the Senate to re-assign N180.8 billion to critical recurrent and capital items.
The upper legislative chamber approved the request on Tuesday, November 29, after receiving a report from the Appropriations Committee, which is led by Danjuma Goje.
Buhari is also seeking senate approval to secure a $30 billion loan facility to fund the budget.
