Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has refuted claims that he consulted a native doctor concerning his reelection bid, describing the allegation as “totally false” and “maliciously fabricated.”
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, the governor’s media office dismissed a circulating video clip purportedly showing Soludo engaging in a spiritual consultation, clarifying that the footage was taken during a meeting with content creators in the state.
“During the session, one of the content creators performed a skit — a common comic genre in Nigerian entertainment — to showcase their creative abilities,” the statement explained.

The government expressed concern over what it described as a deliberate attempt by critics and political opponents to misrepresent the video and spread disinformation.
“Governor Soludo’s commitment to developing Anambra’s creative economy is evident in initiatives such as the recently commissioned Solution Fun City,” Aburime noted, urging the public to disregard the misleading narrative and verify information before sharing.
The statement reiterated that Governor Soludo remains focused on delivering his administration’s Solution Agenda and accelerating the overall development of Anambra State.
