Kaduna State Senator, Shehu Sani has warned Governor Nasir El-Rufai to stop eyeing President Muhammadu Buhari’s position but instead focus on governing the state.
Sani, who represents the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, made the comments during a recent interview with The Interview Magazine, The Cable reports.
“El-Rufai should do his job and stop putting his eyes on the presidency,” the senator said.
“It would be counter-productive for the governor to start thinking of evicting Buhari in 2019 to be the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he added.
Sani and El-Rufai have been at loggerheads since the latter assumed office with the senator criticizing the governor over his anti-people polices.
The battle has also led to Sani’s suspension by the Kaduna state branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
