Political commentator Shehu Sani agrees with Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo on the delivery of palliative care.
Sani said that some state governors might use the money to repay domestic debt, catch up on overdue salaries and contractor payments, and make other humanitarian gestures.
He pleaded with the government of President Bola Tinubu to keep the palliative care budget under close scrutiny.

In a series of tweets, Sani argued that “without proper check, some states will use palliative funds to pay contractors they are owing or pay the inherited backlog of salaries and pensions or use it to settle their domestic debts with Banks or use it to settle political supporters; Soludo is right, all states are not equal.”
In light of the hardships being experienced by Nigerians as a result of the elimination of the gasoline subsidy, Soludo had asked governors to reduce their spending on Thursday.
Soludo warned governors not to turn a blind eye to the suffering of Nigerians.
He added that lengthy convoys by governors would be inconsiderate to their people’s plight.
