Governor Sullivan Chime and other leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Enugu State have expressed satisfaction with the declaration by the new National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu that candidates would not be imposed on the electorate.
.
Mu’azu made the promise during a solidarity visit to him by Governor Chime and the leadership of the PDP in the state, saying, there would be no more impositions from Abuja under his watch.
.
“If you want anything from the party, then you must go back to your people and it is what they decide that will stand,” Muazu had pledged.
.
Chime said the PDP national chairman’s stance was bound to change the fortunes of the party and rid it of the intermittent crises that had continued to bedevil it.
.
According to Chime, Mu’azu’s declaration is in line with his own personal belief that the surest way for the party to reposition itself and eliminate opposition was for the leadership to follow the dictates of its constitution in all its activities.
