The Taraba State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has announced heightened security measures to ensure a safe and peaceful Yuletide season across the state.
This assurance was conveyed by Police Commissioner Joseph O. Eribo through a press statement released on Saturday, as reported by the command’s spokesperson, Usman Abdullahi.
According to the statement, the command has implemented comprehensive security arrangements before, during, and after the festive celebrations.

Commissioner Eribo directed area commanders, divisional police officers, and tactical commanders to ensure the deployment of robust security measures throughout the Yuletide period.
Assuring the people of Taraba, Eribo stated that security arrangements, including the deployment of personnel and operational assets to worship centers, have been put in place.
Visibility patrols have also been deployed across the state to enhance security and maintain peace during the celebrations.
Citizens were urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
The statement emphasized the ban on the use of fireworks and firecrackers during the festive season, with a reminder for parents to monitor their children’s activities and discourage involvement in criminal behavior.
The commissioner warned potential troublemakers of the command’s readiness to decisively handle any breach of the law during the Yuletide period.
While the specific number of deployed officers and personnel was not disclosed, the statement assured the public of the presence of adequate personnel to monitor and prevent criminal activities throughout the state.
