The Delta State Civil Service Commission has said that it has not issued appointment letters to anybody in the planned recruitment exercise as being rumoured in some quarters.
Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Emmanuel Tetsola disclosed this at the closing ceremony of the 10th edition of the weekend’s management course for senior officers in Delta State Civil Service organized by the office of the State Head of Service in collaboration with the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON).
Dr. Tetsola, who spoke through the third member of the Commission, Dr. Andrew Akanigha, clarified that the commission has not issued appointment letters to anybody in respect of the current recruitment exercise approved by the State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
According to him, the commission has not conducted the aptitude test that would lead to the recruitment of successful applicants into the State Civil Service, adding that the recruitment exercise is going be on merit and if the test is not conducted, no one would be issued appointment letter.
Dr. Tetsola added that the date earlier fixed for the aptitude test for the recruitment exercise was postponed due to logistics and charged those that applied for recruitment into the State Civil Service to discountenance the rumour as no one has been employed so far.
He urged the applicants to prepare adequately for the forthcoming aptitude test that would take place at various centres in the three senatorial districts of the State at a date to be announced later.
