The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila has come out to say that the House would do all it can to fasten the consideration and amendment of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).
He revealed this during a meeting with the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council led by the Special Adviser to the president on Ease of Doing Business, Dr Jumoke Oduwole.
According to him, it has become important in order to enhance the legal framework for doing business in Nigeria.
He added that one of the priorities of the 9th House is to do everything possible to tackle national economic issues, saying that passing the CAMA amendment bill will fast-track this solution.
His words, “The House has prioritized the issue of the economy. We will look at the bill and fast-track it as it is in the interest of the country. We will consider it and do what we need to do.”
