Dr Oby Ezekwesili has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari for cheapening Nigerian lives with his incompetence.
The former Minister of Education said this during an interview with The Guardian Life, published on Sunday, November 25, 2018.
The presidential candidate decried the spate of violence that has rocked the country and claimed thousands of lives in 2018 alone, noting that it has become worse under the current president.
She said, “This is a Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari where the primacy of the human life has been completely devalued…life is cheapened.
“The lives of Nigerians today are not any better because President Buhari became our president. As a matter of fact, the quality of lives has taken a significant beating.”
The former minister said her decision to run for the presidency was fueled by her annoyance with the rhetoric that Nigerians have to always choose the lesser of two terrible choices from the ruling parties.
“I had to get to the place where listening to the political class say to us that we have to choose the lesser of two evils got me infuriated,” she said.
