Nigerians should wait for the Supreme Court’s verdict on the legitimacy of President Bola Tinubu’s certificate, according to Ambassador Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, a top official in the state’s ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
In a statement released to the press by his media assistant Rasheed Abubakar on Saturday, Mumuni offered the recommendation.
A former candidate for governor of Lagos State for the now-defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) said that reports about the President’s certificate had been all over the news.
Then he advised his countrymen to wait for the Supreme Court to rule on the matter and let the law take its course.
He warned that “caution is warranted. All these remarks and rebuttals are completely superfluous. We must exercise extreme caution so as not to break any laws. The judges’ job is to figure out where the certificate actually stands. These sideshows are completely unnecessary.
Regarding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s educational background, I have read numerous articles and listened to numerous broadcasts from a variety of perspectives. It is in everyone’s best interest that we not become entangled in the pretence.
Let’s wait patiently for the verdict to be made in accordance with election law by the esteemed judges of the highest court in the land. Tomorrow will be better than today, therefore I’m making another plea for civility among the gladiators.
