Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment on Monday said Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is the reason the party is currently in power.
Keyamo explained that Tinubu’s refusal to ‘collapse’ was responsible for APC being in power.
He made the remark while celebrating the former Lagos Governor on his 69th birthday.
In a tweet, Keyamo wrote: “Here’s wishing the “Ja a gabar borgu”, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a happy 69th birthday celebration.
“His principled and consistent opposition to the then ruling and rampaging PDP Government and his refusal to collapse as the ‘last man standing’, is the reason APC is in govt today.”
On his part, the former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani described the APC National Leader as a phenomenal politician.
Sani said Tinubu played an outstanding role in the struggle for democracy in Nigeria.
“Happy 69th Birthday to Asiwaju. He is a phenomenal politician and a democrat who played an outstanding role in the struggle for the restoration of democracy in Nigeria.
“My advice; Get someone you trusted to always translate to you what is said in Hausa and Fulfulde,” Sani tweeted.
