Tottenham manager Roberto de Zerbi has said that Spurs’ final match against Everton is a bigger match for the club than last season’s Europa League final vs Manchester United. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Stressing that the players will be playing for something more important than the trophy, De Zerbi noted that the team must fight for Tottenham‘s dignity and history on the final day of the season.

The Italian manager concluded by thanking the fans for standing behind the team all season long.
His words, “Sunday is the final for Tottenham, not in Bilbao against Man United [last season], but this is the most important game.
We play for something more important than the trophy — the pride, the history of the club, the dignity are more important than the trophy.
The trophy you can win, but the most important thing is to keep the dignity, to keep the pride.
I have lived the last 45 days just for one thing. Every one of the players, their focus is on the target [of survival] — they are working harder during the week and every one of us want to achieve that goal.
The fans have been fantastic, fantastic and we have to say thanks. If we talk about the penalty then we lose focus and we lose energy. My focus is on the best 11 I can get and to prepare them in the best way. It’s a big day for us.”
WOW.
