LOS GATOS, CA–(Marketwired – Feb 20, 2014) –  Trapezoid Inc. (http://www.trapezoid.com), an emerging enterprise cybersecurity company specializing in trust data visibility, today announced its plans to launch the Trapezoid® Trust Visibility Engine at the RSA 2014 Conference, February 24-28 in San Francisco, Calif. The company will introduce its Trust Visibility Engine in Intel’s booth (#3213, Kiosk #13 in the North Hall) at the show.

Trapezoid will demonstrate how its Trust Visibility Engine illuminates new security information for enabling IT professionals to establish trusted, private cloud transactions using Intel® Trusted Execution Technology (TXT) and Identity Protection Technology (IPT). The Trapezoid® Trust Visibility Engine identifies threats at the bios layer to alert of potential attacks before they can get off the ground. By validating system integrity from the BIOS layer, the Trapezoid® Trust Visibility Engine introduces a new layer of security that protects individual systems starting at the foundational software operating level.

By integrating with industry leading security event and policy management tools, the Trust Visibility Engine establishes a coordinated security and compliance posture. Trapezoid enables enterprises to dynamically enforce policies based on trust data intelligence, to establish platform-based, root-of-trust across private and hybrid enterprise cloud environments.

“The Trapezoid Trust Visibility Engine represents a significant leap forward in the detection and remediation of attacks,” Robert Rounsavall, president and co-founder of Trapezoid, states. “It introduces a new layer of security to detect attacks earlier and stop malicious code before it can spread and cause damage. Trapezoid validates the integrity of enterprise cloud platform infrastructure, meeting strict compliance requirements for visibility of data and workloads.”

On February 24, 2014 at 6:00 p.m., Rounsavall will host a theatre presentation titled, “Trapezoid Ensures Trusted Client-To-Cloud Transactions with Differentiated Access” at the Intel in-booth theater at RSA. Rounsavall will discuss how Trapezoid leverages Intel and McAfee technologies to deploy, configure and administer trusted, client-to-cloud connections for every digital transaction. The 15-minute presentation will be followed by a 5-minute Q&A.

Over the past year, Trapezoid collaborated with Intel Corporation to utilize Intel® TXT and Intel® IPT in developing the Trust Visibility Engine. To create and test its layered cybersecurity posture, Trapezoid became a McAfee Security Innovation Alliance Partner. McAfee certified the integration of the Trapezoid® Trust Visibility Engine into its own product set.

“Trapezoid has taken an end-to-end approach to understanding trust from edge to cloud; supporting enterprise and cloud provider control requirements for visibility and compliance,” said Steve Orrin, chief technologist at Intel Federal. “Trapezoid’s use of the capabilities and architecture for connecting enterprise users and devices to the cloud supports security policy controls and auditability across the data transaction life cycle. Having Trapezoid integrate with our platform technologies, like Intel® TXT and Intel® IPT, will enable compelling solutions for securing clients and servers in enterprise cloud environments.”

In addition to Intel and McAfee, Trapezoid worked closely with the Open Data Center Alliance (ODCA) to create a number of use cases for securing the enterprise cloud environment. These use cases are shaping the standards and best practices for enterprise security in both public and private cloud computing environments and converged, multi-tenant infrastructures. The ODCA’s leadership recognized Trapezoid with the “ODCA Leadership Award for Security Assurance Proof of Concept” for their contributions to the Security Assurance use case Proof of Concept.

“Trapezoid continues to play a significant role in the delivery of solutions based on ODCA usage models and security best practices with its conception of its root-of-trust, platform-based security architecture,” Marvin Wheeler, executive director of the Open Data Center Alliance, states. “Trapezoid’s employment of trust data for securing the fabric of the enterprise cloud infrastructure aligns well with the requirements that ODCA members have documented for enterprise cloud environments. With our members identifying security as the leading challenge facing broad scale use of cloud by enterprises, this innovation is critical to industry success.”

Trapezoid is currently engaging Global 2000 companies seeking to integrate trust data into existing layered security postures. For more information on Trapezoid, visit http://www.trapezoid.com.
