CRANFORD, NJ–(Marketwired – Aug 5, 2014) – Microsoft proudly announced the 2014 Cloud Regional Partner Award winners during a ceremony at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington, DC. The award acknowledges extraordinary contributions of Microsoft partners serving commercial customers throughout the past fiscal year. For this year, VDX, a National Microsoft System Integrator and premier IT consulting organization, was recognized with the 2014 Microsoft US Eastern Regional Cloud Partner of the Year. VDX was honored among the top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

VDX specializes in redefining the way companies manage, package and distribute their applications and services. The company’s Cloud Acceleration Services helps organizations accelerate their transformation to the cloud with flexible move-to-cloud service options that maximize IT return-on-investment. Customers can start small and minimize upfront investments. Included in this service is an application portfolio assessment to determine which applications can reside in a public cloud and which applications require a more secure/private environment. This assessment creates the foundation for ensuring that VDX’s clients meet their complex requirements around performance, scalability, security and compliance. The assessment also helps clients understand which applications are at the end-of-life and which solutions can migrate effectively. Once clients are comfortable with their cloud deployment, VDX can scale the infrastructure as needed.

“Our clients are ready to include the cloud as a strategic resource in their IT portfolio, but many need help striking the right balance between cost savings, agility, security, compliance and integration,” said Robert English, CEO and Founder of VDX, Inc. “With Microsoft, we have a world-class portfolio of technologies to help accelerate the implementation of successful cloud strategies for our clients.”

“When the time came to transition our desktop computing environment off of the Windows XP platform, we wanted to collaborate with a partner that could help us realize maximum return from our IT investments. With VDX we were able to meet both our end-of-life deadline for Windows XP, and build out the foundation of a private cloud computing environment,” said John F. McFall, VP Technology, SSFCU. “Working with VDX we were able to virtualize our applications, upgrade our delivery mechanism and provide our users with an enhanced computing experience.”

Awards were presented in multiple categories, with winners and finalists chosen from a set of more than 200 organizations across the Eastern Region. VDX was recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services, as well as demonstrating excellent engagement in the Eastern Region. The Cloud Partner awards recognize companies who are providing outstanding services based on Microsoft cloud technologies.
