Doyin Odebowale, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State’s Special Adviser on Special Duty and Strategy, recently revealed that the governor is not based in the state capital of Akure due to a lack of suitable lodgings.
On Tuesday, Odebowale was a guest on Channels Television and made this statement.
Since returning from a medical vacation overseas, Akeredolu has not been seen in the state.

As a result of the governor of Ondo state relocating his office to Ibadan, Oyo State, there have been tremors throughout the state, and on Monday, young members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) issued an ultimatum for him to return.
Odebowale stated that, given Governor Akeredolu’s health, it was necessary for him to move into a more suitable flat in order to effectively manage the business of the South-West state.
The September return of Aketi. He previously stayed in a two-bedroom flat, which he described on the show as “the Presidential Lodge built for the visiting president at that time, Olusegun Obasanjo.”
Now he has returned. No longer can he serve in that capacity. The ODIPA is headquartered in the Governor’s Lodge, which was constructed by the previous administration, and was formerly used as the office of the governor. That’s the governor’s office,” the aide clarified.
That means that for the past six years, the governor has been responsible for a two-bedroom flat. However, given his current health, he cannot act normally.
For a full recovery, he would require everything. This is why the transition to his new home is moving forward so quickly.
Do people want to see Aketi at the construction site, where he’d be lugging bags of cement and following crew members?
When asked, “What?” All of the government employees’ salaries have been paid. Since Aketi’s return, he said, he’s started signing legislation.
