Juan Cuadrado has revealed that the opportunity to play under Jose Mourinho was a major incentive behind his move to Chelsea.
.
After drawn out negotiations, the Colombian finally arrived at Stamford Bridge on deadline day from Fiorentina in a £26.8m deal.
.
The winger had also been closely watched by Manchester United who were interested in signing him last summer.
.
But Cuadrado believes Mourinho is the perfect manager to develop his career and fulfil his ambitions.
.
And he hopes he can add further Premier League and Champions League titles to the Portuguese coach’s collection.
.
“Jose Mourinho has won everything and I think he is going to bring a lot to my game, but also I am going to look to learn a lot from him and grow by his side,” the 26-year-old said.
.
“I think he is going to be able to bring the best out of me and I am looking forward to developing as a footballer here.”
