The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has issued a stern warning to his political opponents, stating that those opposing him are “digging their graves.”
Wike made the remarks on Saturday while addressing supporters and members of his faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State.
The former Rivers State Governor has been embroiled in a political feud with the incumbent governor, Siminalayi Fubara, once regarded as Wike’s protégé.

The conflict between the two leaders has raised concerns within the party, although the reasons for their fallout remain unclear.
“Everybody now must fight Wike. Which Wike are you fighting? You people are digging your graves. Let me tell you, it has not started,” Wike said.
The FCT Minister further declared his confidence in his political strength. “We have capacity.
Forget them. In Rivers State, we’ll sit down and agree on what will happen, not what they’re doing. Is it working? No. It will never, never work.”
Despite his insistence on remaining within the PDP, Wike has continued to collaborate with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His appointment as a minister in President Bola Tinubu’s administration has fueled speculation about his loyalty to the PDP and further strained relations within the opposition party.
The political landscape in Rivers State remains tense as both factions navigate the fallout ahead of future elections.
