    With The Right Mindset, We Can End Racism – Obama

    Barack ObamaEx-US president, Barack Obama has come out to praise the protests by Americans demanding racial justice over the recent killing of George Floyd.

    Obama recently came out to speak to the young black men and women who he said are done with witnessing and experiencing excessive violence.

    According to him, every life and dream matters and it is sad that too much violence has come from folks who were supposed to be serving and protecting is.

    He added that he is happy with the change in mindset that’s taking place because, with greater recognition, we can end racism.

    His words, “Too often some of that violence has come from folks who were supposed to be serving and protecting you,”

    “I want you to know that you matter. I want you to know that your lives matter, your dreams matter.”

    “The kinds of epic changes and events in our country that are as profound as anything that I’ve seen in my lifetime.”

    “There is a change in mindset that’s taking place, a greater recognition that we can do better,”

    “It’s very important for us to take the momentum that has been created as a society, as a country, and say ‘Let’s use this’ to finally have an impact,”

    “I’m urging every mayor in this country to review your use-of-force policies with members of your community and commit to report on planned reforms.”
