President Muhammadu Buhari was absent from the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting of Wednesday, April 12, reports say.
Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo presided over the meeting but no explanation was given for Buhari’s absence.
This is Buhari’s first absence from the weekly FEC meeting since his March 10 return to Nigeria from a 49-day medical vacation in London.
Buhari had said, on arrival in Nigeria, that he did not remember being so sick in all his life.
He also said that he would soon need follow-up treatment.
Meanwhile, the Presidency has said that Buhari will receive further treatment in London and not in Nigeria.
The clarification was made by Buhari spokesman, Garba Shehu on Thursday, March 30, in denial of reports that Buhari had decided to bring his doctors to Nigeria.
