Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has approved the appointment of 12 new Permanent Secretaries to strengthen the administrative capacity of the government for improved service delivery.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, announced the appointments in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Suleiman Ahmad Tudu, and made available to journalists in Gusau.
According to the statement, the appointment process was conducted through due process and coordinated by the Office of the Head of the State Civil Service.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are:
- Muhammad Salihu
- Sani Abubakar
- Hassan Shehu Usman
- Engr. Haruna Dikko
- Dr. Abubakar Muhammad
- Aminu Almajir
- Dr. Yakubu Sanusi
- Maryam Shantali
- Sa’adatu Abdu Gusau
- Suwaiba Ibrahim Barau
- Rilwanu Musa
- Sanusi Bello Jabaka
The statement further noted that the Office of the Head of Service will formally issue appointment letters to the appointees, after which all necessary onboarding formalities will be completed.
Governor Lawal commended the efforts of all those involved in the selection process and urged the appointees to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to enhance the productivity of the state civil service in line with best practices.
