Manchester United transfer target Ravel Morrison wants to leave West Ham this month, according to reports.
.
The Daily Mail claims the attacking midfielder does not see his long-term future in East London, and is eager to move in the January transfer window.
.
Morrison has been one of the Hammers’ top performers in a disappointing season for Sam Allardyce’s side thus far, and the manager has denied that the player will be made available to clubs, the report claims.
.
Manchester United know all about Morrison’s ability, having had the 20-year-old on their books as a junior.
.
Indeed, the England U21 international was on the fringes of the first team when Sir Alex Ferguson allowed the youngster to leave.
.
He’s since been replaced by David Moyes at the Old Trafford helm, and the new Red Devils chief was. linked with a move for the player back in December.
.
Morrison won’t come cheap however, with an £18million release clause in his contract at Upton Park.
.
Whether that puts Manchester United off remains to be seen, but it appears the playmaker – who has just a year-and-a-half left on his contract – wants to leave.
.
It’s also unclear whether Morrison would be willing to return to the Red Devils, having been offloaded for off-field matters in the past.
