Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has announced a N10 million bounty on the heads of the killers of two policemen in the state, pledging to use every resource available to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The governor made this pledge while addressing journalists after a State Security Council meeting at the Government House, Enugu.
Present at the meeting were the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kanayo Uzuegbu; State Director, State Security Services, Theresa Egbunu; Garrison Commander, 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Enugu, Brigadier General Murtala Abu; and the State Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Peter Ogar, among others.

Governor Mbah stated that the available security information pointed to members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) as the likely culprits, who arrived in several SUVs, including a black Lexus SUV.
He urged the public to be vigilant and report any information about the criminals and their exhibits to security agencies.
The governor emphasized that such cold-blooded actions would not be tolerated in Enugu State and directed security agencies to spare no effort in arresting the perpetrators.
He also expressed condolences to the families of the slain policemen and assured them of government’s support. Governor Mbah warned that those who attack security agents would be pursued and brought to justice, using all available resources and technology.
