Klopp Inspired My Tactics Against Manchester City – Thomas Frank

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has come out to hail Liverpool legend Jurgen Klopp for inspiring his team’s convincing win over Manchester City. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, he drew his tactical inspiration from Klopp to secure the important victory, and the high-press football worked wonders against a very good MCFC team.

Frank added that Klopp deserves praise for being a clever coach, and he is very grateful for the inspiration.

His words, “Yeah, it was good, he was a clever man. I need to text him and say ‘hey, that’s awfully clever’. I definitely believe in the aggressive press, as you saw today, as you saw with my Brentford team, you know, I believe in the high pressure, I believe in if we can be front-footed. I like that mentality. I think it’s offensive, you know, it’s a more offensive way of defending and then it’s more fun to defend in the opponent’s half, and of course, today I think we were very successful also to score a goal from it.”
