Former Atlético Madrid player Paulo Futre has advised Lamine Yamal to get a girlfriend. He recently tipped the Barcelona wonderkid to become the best in the world, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, he believes Yamal needs a stable romantic relationship to help him mature because meeting the mother of your children early can go a long way towards transforming a player’s professionalism.

He added that a relationship will also reduce distractions and increase the youngster’s responsibility on and off the pitch.

His words, “Lamine Yamal is young (18 years old), and it is important that he has a girlfriend. When I met the mother of my children, I started to be a professional footballer 100%. I didn’t go out as much as I used to. From then on, I started to have weight in the Porto dressing room, because I was more responsible.”
