WBC and Lineal heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury has come out to say that he offered Anthony Joshua a take it or leave it split of 60-40 for their proposed fight in December. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, a proposal of a 60-40 split was sent to Joshua’s camp and he believes the offer is fair because Joshua has lost three times in the last three years, plus he comes into the fight with no belts.
Fury added that Joshua has no excuse to not take the fight and he cannot say he was low-balled with the terms.
His words, “I’m being bombarded with messages on how much am I gonna pay AJ.”
“Everyone’s saying 80-20, 70-30, 75-25… the actual answer is I’ve offered him 60-40.”
“40 per cent of this amazing fight because I want this fight to happen.”
“He doesn’t have any excuses now not to take it. He can’t say I’ve lowballed him, offered him 20% or 30%.”
“I’ve offered the people 40% – that’s it or leave it, let us know.”
