Borno State governor, Kashim Shettima has revealed his support for Senator Ahmad Lawan to become Senate President of the Ninth National Assembly. Shettima, who is also a senator-elect, hails from the same state with Senator Ali Ndume, who is also contesting the position. The governor who spoke to the press in Abuja also said the people of Borno are fully behind Senator Ahmad Lawan. His words, “Ndume said his people asked him to contest. But I am the number one citizen of the state. I am not one of the people that asked him to contest.”
