The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has threatened to go on strike if the Federal Government does not increase the minimum wage to N56,000. The NLC President, Ayba Wabba said all workers will down their tools on May 1, 2017, if nothing is done about the issue. The labour leader also said that workers can no longer cope with the harsh economic situation, adding that the cost of goods and services have gone up.
