An armed robbery attack has been foiled by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Zamfara State. The standoff which took place on Sunday along Gusau-Sokoto Road, near Dogon Karfe in Bakura LGA, led to the killing of many bandits who engaged the police for about four hours. Kidnappers have abducted a family of eight and four others in the Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State. At least three persons were killed during an attack by bandits along the Kaduna-Zaria highway in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The bandits were said to have invaded Dunki village near the highway on Monday morning and started shooting sporadically, and in the process, killed two residents of the area. The head of Colonial Pipeline told U.S. senators on Tuesday that hackers who launched last month’s cyber attack; against the company and disrupted fuel supplies to the U.S. Southeast were able to get into the system by stealing a single password. IBM U.S. employees will go back to the office the week of Sept. 7; according to a memo sent to staff this week from Chief Human Resources Officer Nickle LaMoreaux.
