The Enugu State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal on Friday dismissed the forensic report on election materials brought by the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Okey Ezea. Mr. Ezea is challenging the declaration of the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission. Unconfirmed reports claim Boko Haram gunmen have taken over the highway linking Maiduguri and Damaturu, the state capitals of Borno and Yobe respectively. A blast has occurred in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital. The explosion, which was suspected to be from a vehicle loaded with explosives, occurred around Bulumkutu area just in front of Shehu Elkanemi college, PREMIUM TIMES is reporting.
