The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, on Friday rejected the bail application of a former Managing Director of the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company, NSPMC, Emmanuel Okoyomon, whose extradition is being sought by the United Kingdom. The U.K. government is seeking Okoyomon’s extradition over his alleged role in the bribery allegation involving officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the NSPMC and Securency International Pty of Australia between 2006 and 2008. Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has described as laughable, allegations that he suspended 40 traditional rulers in the state for misconduct. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has disclosed that it arrested 3, 478 drug suspects and seized nearly 170, 341.704kg of narcotic drugs between January and May 2015.
