The Borno State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress on Monday appealed to Governor Kashim Shettima to pay priority attention to the workers’ welfare. A group under the aegis of Friends in the Gap Advocacy Initiative, has expressed worry over the increasing number of former state chief executives, who have turned the Senate to their retirement ground after their tenure as governors. Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has nominated the state Commissioner for Agriculture, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo, as the new deputy governor of the state.
